Your screen stays on your Mac

Lumify samples screen colors locally. The application does not upload screen images or record your system audio. RGB values are sent to your selected devices on your local network or connected receiver.

Purchases and licensing

Stripe handles card details. We store your checkout email, order reference, payment status, an encrypted copy of your license key for delivery, and a hash of your license key to validate your purchase. Card numbers are not stored by Lumify. Resend delivers transactional license emails when configured.

Device requests

We store the brand, model, notes, and optional email you submit. Providing an email and consent allows a reply about your request, not unrelated marketing. Do not include passwords or private information in notes.

Website storage

An essential, HTTP-only cookie grants access to your purchase for up to 30 days. Short-lived hashed request identifiers help prevent abuse. The site does not add advertising trackers. Hosting providers process the network information needed to serve the site.

License activation

The Lumify app binds a license to the first Mac that activates it. This helps keep one personal license tied to one device.

Product telemetry

Lumify records an irreversible installation identifier, app and macOS versions, Govee model identifiers, device formation, subsection counts, and recent activity times. This helps us understand active installations and improve device support. Lumify does not send screen images, sampled colors, local device names, device network addresses, or screen activity.

Optional Music Sync song insights

Music Sync analyzes audio locally without recording or uploading it. Song sharing is off by default and requires separate opt-in. When enabled, after at least ten seconds of Apple Music playback in Music Sync, the app sends the song title, artist, album, and duration to Lumify. We retain aggregate listen counts and day-level activity for each song to prioritize future streamed beat analysis. The song catalog is not linked to customer accounts or installation identifiers. License credentials are used only to authenticate requests; short-lived random deduplication receipts expire after seven days. System Audio is not identified or reported. You can turn sharing off in Settings at any time; previously aggregated counts remain. Metadata alone does not train a beat model, and unverified predictions are not treated as correct beat labels.
